Agrarwelt ist eine Bezeichnung für einen Gesteinsplaneten, dessen Oberfläche hauptsächlich landwirtschaftlich genutzt wird. Die Bezeichnung Agrarwelt gilt für die aktuelle Nutzung des Planeten, unabhängig von seiner planetaren Historie.
Allgemeines
Eine Agrarwelt ist eine Sauerstoffwelt und wird aus verschiedenen Gründen landwirtschaftlich genutzt.
Planet zur landwirtschaftlichen Produktion
Ein solcher Planet wird sozusagen nur zur reinen Produktion von Lebensmitteln genutzt. Der Planet hat durch seine Planetenbahn und keine, oder kaum ausgeprägte, Jahreszeiten, ein besonders günstiges Klima zur Erzeugung von Agrarprodukten in hoher Zahl und Folge.
Siedlerwelten
Ein Planet der neu besiedelt wird ist grundsätzlich erst einmal eine Agrarwelt, um die Nahrungsbedürfnisse der Siedler zu befriedigen – die Mehrheit der Bevölkerung arbeitet noch in der Landwirtschaft. Ein solcher agrarischer Planet gilt erst einmal als wirtschaftlich rückständig. Industrie und Dienstleistungsbereiche befinden sich, neben der Infrastruktur, aus gutem Grund noch in einem unterentwickelten Zustand. Eine Siedlerwelt bleibt eine Agrarwelt, bis sich eine nennenswerte Industrie etabliert hat. Einige Siedlerwelten kommen über den Status Agrarwelt nie hinaus.
